BLIND MELON-Change
This song fits Tam Lin as for one it discussed the need to change when things begin to get hard or different. Tam Lin decided to change after meeting Celia and he realized what he had been doing being "Too happy swaggering around in El Patrons shadow." (p.243) Second it discusses how people get over feeling life isn't living and how its bad to fell like that. Tam Lin likely felt like that after using a bomb and accidentally killing 20 children in a terrorist attack.

Jimi Hendrix-All Along the Watchtower
This song is related to Tam Lin because when he talks about his change and how he was happy about following El Patron around on pages 242 and 243 he is giving many references to this song in a way. On one line it says "Businessman they drink my wine" this could refer to El Patron take advantage of Tam Lin and using his self confidence and his record against him, drinking his wine. In another section the lines "No reason to get excited," The thief, he kindly spoke "There are many here among us" "Who feel that life is but a joke But you and I, we've been through that" "And this is not our fate" So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late" could refer to Tam Lin likely feeling life isn't worth it after he killed 20 children in a terrorist attack. He likely realized that to be sorrowful for that wasn't his purpose and he moved on.

Steely Dan-Dirty Work
This song is perhaps the most straight forward of all of them. Simply said throughout the whole book it is clear that Tam Lin does El Patrons dirty work, and guards him while doing things he can't. Evidence in the song goes even further with the sequence "Times are hard" "You're afraid to pay the fee" "So you find yourself somebody" "Who can do the job for free." Its obvious El Patron does not like giving out money, and he needed someone to do something for him so he hired Tm Lin to do it for free as he was a terrorist and needed asylum.

BLIND MELON-No Rain
This song goes on a very simple theme of forgiving yourself and then the world around you to find someone to believe you, and to forgive you. This relates to Tam Lin as he expresses he was a "self concerned" person back then and he regrets doing what he did (p.235-245). Tam Lin often is not forgiving of himself and things he needs a chance at redemption, he believes saving Matt is that chance after Celia made him change. However he still didn't forgive himself at the end, when he clearly took his own life knowing the wine would kill him, not believe he had done enough and that his crimes be punished.

The Kinks- Better Things
This song has an extremely clear meaning. Despite what has happened in the past, what you have done or what has happened to you, what things have brought you still need to move on, to better things in life. Tam Lin is perhaps the most applicable character in the book to this song as despite killing 20 kids and woken for El Patron Tam Lin knows he can right things and move on to a better life. However t the end of the book i was surprised he took his life, still for him that was moving on.

Ready for the Storm by The Cottars
This is a song that I think Tam Lin would listen to because after he helps Matt escape from the farm he has to prepare hims self for the fact that he mite be caught and be punished. As well as just before El Patron found him a made him his bodyguard because he was most likely going to get caught by the government of the UK. (Glenn)
Cape Breton Lullaby by The Cottars
I have chosen this song because it is comforting and soothing and I think that this is what Tam Lin would listen to A after he blew up the bus and killed the children and B after he talk to Matt about it because if I did something like that and forgot about and then remembered it I would need something really soothing to get over it and this song is really soothing as I said already. Hello Goodbye by The Beatles
The reason that I choose this song is because when Tam Lin starts to be more of El Patrons body guard and not Matts after El Patron has his first heart attack, Tam Lin and Matt would only see each other for short times and then they would not see each other for long periods of time again. As a result of this I think that it is appropriate that I choose this song because they say hello and then they say goodbye. (Glenn)You've Got a Friend in Me by Randy Newman
Like the other song that I chose "Hello Goodbye" is that this song very well describes the relationship between Matt and Tam Lin so well because before Matt knew Tam Lin he had no to little friends and the ones that he did have either mostly treated him like a pet most of the time. However when Tam Lin came along Tam Lim showed him that it does not matter if you are a clone or a human as long as you are a man. Also one of the main reasons that I think that Tam Lin likes Matt so much is because he reminds Tam Lin that good can come from evil and that there is hope in this world. (Glenn)
Your Not Alone by East Village Opera Company
This song would be a song that Tam Lin would listen to when he is watching over El Patron and Matt because he mite have a bit of a bad memory and this song would remind him to look over and watch both El Patron and Matt. Also if he had speakers then he would play this song out loud so that El Patron and Matt would know that they are being look over.
